| drawing from 91.I remember working this paper until the surface had broken up..i was hanging my degree show and still working on new ideas..it foresaw the Nihilism that was about to riddle the next couple of years..i do still really like it as a drawing though..absolute it its concept..but ultimately a sad and fruitless course.When i print the slides of degree show i will post..but lets move forward... |

| 2014...i found watercolour paints kinda look a bit like ceramic glazes don't they...i am hoping to do some Slab work . |

| 2014..I am pleased with this..Another quick sketch for the continuing ceramics thing...a tower block/ivory tower and escape from there..like the heroine Marianne..(i bet thats from the Leonard Cohen song)...knowing Angela Carter and Heroes and Villains like i do....but i really must tackle other scenes from it..particularly the Adam and Eve aspect ... |

| 2011.was looking at Ben Nicholson..who i do love..and wanting to use scraps of the masses of old envelopes that stream through the letterbox...bank statements,,BT bumpf...and made the little collage on the left...i liked elements of the cut out shapes..and by chance it ended up in my loose bits of paper work next to this photocopy of Frank Lloyd Wright...(Who i love also)..So good when things juxtapose happily...the beginnings of a free self perpetuating composition..which is a good way of describing my oil painting style...stand by for this side of my work to flower |
